Captain Steven G. Walker

Capt. Steve originally hails from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina, where he grew up on and around the water working as a commercial fisherman. In 1984 at the age of 24, Capt. Steve began his career in the yachting industry. He is now well into his third decade of yachting having worked in both the private sector and the charter yachts equally. Having spent a combination of his career cruising Europe, the Caribbean, US and Canada waters and over twenty years in the Bahamas, you can rest assure of a safe, luxurious pleasure and adventures Domani has to offer!!

 

1st Officer - Gert Cloete

Gert Cloete was born and raised in the small town of Bethlehem, South Africa. As a child Gert worked on the farm with his family where they raised cattle and sheep. Small town living was always the way Gert thought he would live. Then yachting crossed his path and he became attracted to the constant changing scenery, not to mention the wonderful people he has met along the way. He joined the yachting industry in September 2005, has traveled the east coast of U.S.A, Bahamas, Caribbean, and the Mediterranean. He obtained a 200 ton Yacht Master Ocean in 2006 and he obtained his Chief/Mate OOW in April 2012. Yachting continues to exceed Gert’s expectations and will continue to be the perfect learning experience and life challenge. Gert prides himself on an immaculate yacht and creating an experience of a lifetime for all those who step aboard Domani.

 

Purser - Julie Tetreault Walker

Julie hails from the East Coast of Canada, Montreal. After spending over 15 years working in the yachting industry, having served aboard many well know successful charter yachts including Excellence, Airwaves, Big City and Inspiration, Julie has an exceptional well-rounded portfolio of expertise on making sure that attention is shown to every detail of your charter. Julie is trained in formal service, proper English and French service and, as well, is fluent in the three different languages.

 

Engineer - Andrew Boardman

Andy  grew up in Auckland New Zealand where he was heavily involved in water based activities such as swimming  and Surf Life Saving from an early age.  Keen to get back into a water based environment,  Andy left the relative safety of a land based life in 2004 and started his sailing career on a Tall Ship that sailed the South Pacific.  From that time forward Andy was hooked on the nautical life and started  his marine engineer learning  at the New Zealand Maritime School as well as obtain his PADI Dive Instructors certification.   Andy has now been in the yachting industry for 5 years as a chief engineer and continues to enjoy the travel and diversity of the yachting industry.  His interests include swimming, scuba diving and golf.  If anything breaks, Andy is your man.  They don’t call him handy Andy for nothing (In fact they don’t call him handy Andy at all).

 

Chef - Ian Buffington

Ian was born and raised in the Midwestern state of Iowa and from an early age he knew that food was to be his calling. Ian grew up hunting, fishing with his father, camping with his family, and ice fishing in the cold Iowa winters. Rewarded by the surrounding farmland, Ian had access to some of the best meats, wild game, and freshwater fish that you could find and cooking the bounty became one of his passions. At the age of 19 Ian moved to Hyde Park, New York to attend The Prestigious Culinary Institute of America where he graduated four years later with a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. Chef Ian also holds a certificate from The Society of Wine Educators as a Certified Specialist of Wine. He is well versed in every style of cuisine and has extensive wine and food pairing knowledge. Cooking, provisioning for guests at local markets, fishing, enjoying wine, making his own beer, and muscle cars are some of Ian’s interests. Domani provides access to the finest food, wine, and service that you can imagine and Chef Ian looks forward to providing you with his culinary delights.

 

Head of Interior - Emma Robertson

Emma grew up in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.

Being brought up around family in tourism Emma had a passion for travel from an early age. After 7 years in the customer service industry Emma decided it was time to see the world.With her Bachelor of Business degree in hand she left Australia to explore Europe and the United Kingdom with all it has to offer. 2 years working in hospitality on boats on the River Thames led Emma to decide to join the yachting industry to make the most of working in an industry she loves as well as being able to see all the world has to offer.

 

Stewardess - Amanda Ruangrit

Mandy grew up on the Island State of Tasmania off the south-east coast of Australia. With ties back to family in Thailand Mandy was lured into the excitement of travelling from a young age. For 7 years Mandy worked as a Barista and spent 2 of these years working for one of the biggest coffee roasting companies in Australia, where her true passion for coffee developed and one day she hopes to roast her own coffee. After completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and talking to friends, Mandy decided to transfer her 9 years of hospitality skills onto the water in 2010. Now happy with a new life at sea, Mandy looks forward to providing you her best services while on board M/Y Domani.

 

Stewardess - Adelle Manning

Adelle grew up in Torquay, a coastal town situated in the heart of the English Riviera in Devon England, where life generally revolved around the ocean. Growing up Adelle was exposed to life at sea due to her immediate family careers which sparked an interest in yachting. Travelling with her parents to various locations around the world, Adelle caught the travel bug early on and decided she wanted to see as much of the world as possible. After graduating with honors from university and with seven years in hospitality under her belt the exciting job of a yacht stewardess seemed like the obvious choice. Adelle is excited at the prospect of seeing more parts of the world whilst gaining valuable experience in the industry with Domani.

 

Bosun / Mate - Justin Hall

Justin was born and raised on a lake in Greensboro, North Carolina. Boating, fishing and enjoying the outdoors has been the excitement of his life until he joined the Yachting Industry in 2007. Now after obtaining his 100 ton license, Justin is seeing unique parts of the world, meeting new people and cultures. It is with great excitement and anticipation that Justin looks forward to attending to all your needs while on board "Domani".

 

Deckhand - Russell Baisch
Tenure on M/Y Domani: 2 years Russell Baisch

Russell is from Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.  He grew up surfing, fishing, and hunting along the Carolina shores, but spent most of his career running parasail boats and captaining small charter fishing vessels.  When you feel the urge to go fishing or just want to capture some general knowledge about the ocean and the creatures that live in it, he’s your guy.  Russell holds a OUPV Coast Guard License, is a Certified Diver with countless hours of experience, and is looking forward to furthering his career in the boating industry.   Russell is also a very polite Southern gentleman who will assist you with any needs or wants that you may have while aboard Motor Yacht Domani.
